Hi, I'm That Travel Girl Abbey. A wannabe professional traveler and best known for ballin' on a budget, vacation style. I started this website to help people realize that you can plan an amazing vacation and help make it worth your money.
This blog came after I planned and booked my first trip abroad and my first somewhat solo trip to Ireland. As a plus size traveler it is always a worry that I'd get over there and it wouldn't be friendly for plus size people. I soon realized how much I loved to plan vacations and watch all my hard work come true when I experienced it. Another plus is that I was treated so well despite me being plus size.
Growing up, I got to experience so many new places thanks to my parents. Almost every year since I was 9, they would save up and we would take a big vacation. My parents have taken us to Colorado, Alabama (several times), Florida (again, multiple times), South and North Carolina, and the US Virgin Islands, just to name a few. And now, thanks to them, they have created me, a hippie solo traveler who loves to take extraordinary vacations on a budget.
As a visitor here, you are part of a fantastic community. A community of fellow travelers who may be planning for a family, or for themselves. This isn't just a place for vacationers, its a place for people like me and you, for people who don't just want to vacation, but also become a part of the places that they see.
